I could't remember how to get to my old blog...so welcome to my new blog.
I am setting this up primarily for a work assignment (Adventures in Technology at the Racine (WI) Public Library) but I hope to utilize it for my outside thoughts and interests, too.
Contact me if you want to chat about what I am writing!
So, this weeks assignment is setting up an IM account. I don't currently have one. I don't really like for people to know when I'm online (I'm one of those privacy-I'll decide when I want you to know I'm available-types). However, I can absolutely see the advantage of using IM in a library setting, as we need to make ourselves as available to the public as possible. I think it would be great if we got a service like that here at our library!
Oh, my AIM name is SarahECorso, so make me your buddy!

Sarah,
I'm with you for not liking people to always know I'm online. That's one of the features I really like about the chat client in the library email. You can set your setting to Invisible. That way, you can see who's online, but they can't see you (unless you want them too). I really like it, you should try it out!
